              <p>The Enrichment, Decommissioning and Waste research department (Atomic French Commission Marcoule Center) has developed a unique level of experience in the field of radioactive waste vitrification through the design and operation of processes with very good safety, reliability and product quality. On-going parallel researches focus on glass formulation, physical-chemical properties and chemical durability of glasses, supported by modelling approaches conducted from laboratory-scale and mock-up, to full-scale technologies. Since 2020, with the foundation of Science and Technology Institute for Circular Economy of Low Carbon Energies (ISEC) a new dynamic is being driven to work on recycling and recovery of materials based on our integrated approach from lab scale to full scale prototype, associated with life cycle assessment.In the poster, we show illustrations concerning lead glass recycling. We present basic studies dedicated to the properties of lead glasses and their recycling. Results obtained on structure and durability of commercial lead crystal glasses concerned by food contact and REACH regulations as well as high temperature tests for recovering the lead contained in Cathode Ray Tubes are shown.</p>
