A total of 24 examples of ketones have been successfully converted to their corresponding silyl ethers with 61-99% yield in the presence of a PNHP-based ruthenium catalyst and silyl formate reagent. The crucial role of the ligand for the transformation is demonstrated. %G English %2 https://cea.hal.science/cea-03527966/document %2 https://cea.hal.science/cea-03527966/file/Romero_Silyl2022_V0.pdf %L cea-03527966 %U https://cea.hal.science/cea-03527966 %~ CEA %~ CNRS %~ PUBNIMBE %~ INC-CNRS %~ IRAMIS-NIMBE %~ CEA-UPSAY %~ UNIV-PARIS-SACLAY %~ UNIVERSITE-PARIS-SACLAY %~ ANR %~ GS-ENGINEERING %~ IRAMIS %~ GS-CHIMIE %~ GS-PHYSIQUE %~ INSTITUT-SCIENCES-LUMIERE %~ TEST2-HALCNRS
