Life time assessment of microelectrodes for neural stimulation applications
Résumé
As the ultimate goal of neural prosthetic devices is the chronic stimulation in disabled patients, a challenging and important work concerns lifetime assessment of the electrode materials. Therefore the stability of the electrode materials in a stimulation configuration must be studied and evaluated, and we propose a new dedicated characterization platform adapted to our microfabricated electrodes.
